Senior Portraits, Cap & Gown & Event Photography

Timeless portraits and real moments from the milestones that matter most.
For Seniors & Graduates
This is a once‑in‑a‑lifetime moment. You want photos that feel like you right now, not stiff poses you’ll cringe at in a year.
Senior portrait and cap & gown sessions with Impact Photography are:
- Relaxed and easygoing, so real smiles actually show up
- Focused on you: your style, your sport, your instrument, your interests
- Designed to give you and your family frame‑worthy images and social‑ready shots
We’ll plan a session around your favorite locations in Northwest Minnesota, your outfits, and any props that tell your story.
For Families & Life Events
Some moments only happen once: anniversaries, big birthdays, family gatherings when everyone is finally in the same place.
I can be there to:
- Photograph updated family portraits (small or extended families)
- Capture candid moments at your party or gathering
- Provide a few posed group photos everyone will appreciate later
You enjoy the event. I take care of preserving it, so you don’t spend the whole time behind your phone instead of in the photos. This is exactly the “done‑for‑you” value people pay for: professional results without you doing the work.
For Headshots & Professional Portraits
Need a new headshot for your company website, LinkedIn, or marketing?
We can do:
- Individual professional headshots
- A coordinated look for your small team
- Simple backgrounds or environmental portraits at your office or on location
You show up; I handle lighting, posing, and expression so you look confident and approachable.
What’s Included
Every portrait or event session includes:
- Pre‑session planning: We’ll talk through who is being photographed, location ideas, outfits, and the kind of look you want.
- Guided posing & candid coverage: I’ll direct posing so you never wonder what to do with your hands, and I’ll capture natural, in‑between moments too.
- Private online gallery: View, favorite, and share your images from a secure gallery.
- Ordering options: Choose digital files, prints, or both, with professional‑quality printing through a Minnesota lab.
This structure hits the value equation: you get the outcome you want, quickly, with minimal effort on your part.

Senior Portraits, Cap & Gown & Events FAQ
What areas do you serve?
Impact Photography is based in Thief River Falls, Minnesota, and serves families, seniors, and small events across Northwest Minnesota. Sessions within roughly 50 miles are included; beyond that, a standard mileage fee applies.
How long does a typical session last?
Most senior, cap & gown, family, or headshot sessions last 45–90 minutes, depending on locations and outfit changes. Small events and parties are booked in blocks of time based on your needs.
How many outfits can I bring for senior photos?
For senior and cap & gown sessions, 2–4 outfits is ideal. That gives variety without taking too much time to change. We’ll plan which outfits go with which locations so the session flows smoothly.
Can you photograph extended families or large groups?
Yes. I regularly photograph extended families, group portraits at events, and multi‑generation photos. Just let me know how many people will be involved so I can plan posing and timing.
What counts as “event photography”?
Event photography covers things like birthday parties, anniversaries, graduations, retirement celebrations, small community events, and similar gatherings. If you’re not sure whether your occasion fits, ask, and I’ll let you know what’s possible.
What should we wear for portraits?
Wear something you feel confident and comfortable in. For families, coordinating colors (without being perfectly matching) usually looks best. Avoid large logos or distracting patterns. I’m happy to give suggestions once I know your location and style.
How will we see and order our photos?
After your session or event, I’ll prepare your images and upload them to a private online gallery. You’ll receive a secure link where you can view, favorite, and order digital files and prints.
How long does it take to get our photos back?
Turnaround time varies with the size of the session, but most portrait and event galleries are ready within 1–2 weeks. I’ll give you an estimate when you book.
Do we get digital files or just prints?
You can choose digital files, prints, or a combination, depending on the package you select. Digital files come with permission for personal use and printing for yourself and your immediate family.
What happens if it rains or we have to reschedule?
If weather or an unexpected conflict gets in the way, we simply reschedule for the next mutually available date. There’s no penalty for rescheduling due to weather or reasonable emergencies.
