What should we wear for our session?
Wear what makes you feel confident and comfortable. Your photos should capture who you are, but it's always nice to dress up a little bit.
How long does it take to get our photos?
My goal is to get your photos back to you as quickly as possible. Currently, that turnaround time can be in as little as a few days.
how do I order physical prints or albums through you?
My integrated online store offers professional prints, processed right here in Minnesota. They provide expert color matching to ensure the prints you receive are true to what you saw online.
Do I get the rights to print my photos?
Yes, when you purchase the digital files, you get full printing permission to print the images at the lab of your choosing.
What happens if it rains or there is bad weather?
We will simply reschedule the session, or we can get creative and figure out an alternative indoor photo location.
How will I receive my final images?
I will notify you as soon as your images are ready. Our website will securely host the collection for your convenience to review and purchase when you are ready to do so.
Who can I bring to my portrait session?
Having someone like a friend or your parent along to encourage you and make you feel comfortable is highly welcomed. It really helps bring out your natural side.
How many outfit changes am I allowed?
I typically recommend 1 to 3 outfit changes, but no more than 5. This ensures the photography session keeps moving efficiently.
What kind of personal objects can I bring?
Your personal items help tell your unique story in the photo. Bringing things like a ball glove, sports jersey, drumsticks, or instruments will help us customize your portraits.
Will you help me with posing?
Absolutely. I will completely direct and guide your posing to make the best image we can. I also welcome any styling suggestions and will work to incorporate your personal ideas.
What is the best time of day for an outdoor session?
Golden hour provides some of the absolute best light for portraits. This is roughly 2-3 hours before sundown or right after sunrise. Harsh mid-day sun is usually avoided.
What area do you cover?
Impact Photography is located in Thief River Falls, MN, and we cover all of Northwest Minnesota. If travel to get to your session location is more than 50 miles, a standard mileage fee will be applied.
What packages do you offer?
Photography packages will vary depending on the type of session (portraits, sports, dance, pets, or events). You can order a la carte, or we can customize a custom package based on your exact needs.
